June 21st, 6:51 a.m.EDT, is the summer solstice, the moment the sun is directly shining down on the Tropic of Cancer.  This is the longest day of the year for the Northern Hemisphere, and marks the beginning of true summer.  I love this, always have.  I am not sure when we began celebrating it as a new holiday, but I'm completely on board.  It's a really long day to look cute, so plan accordingly!  (It might even be worthy of 2 or 3 outfits)  So if you don't currently have plans, make some.  Gather your friends, visit a local restaurant or pub (or maybe even The Ruby Slipper), and enjoy the longest day of the year!
